Telling it like it is has always been one of my lines but if you can tell it like it is, you should be able to take the feedback from it as well. Bill Treasure does a good job of telling like it is and understand how that feels and how to manage the workplace based off this.

I have come to believe that we live in a ‘fear-based society’. The author’s opinion-laden summary underscores the attributes of confidence and humility. My experience has taught me that the notions of empathy and agility are far better barometers to measure the character and potential of a person (i.e., effective leader). In the recommendation getabstract astutely alerts: “If you consider the book’s title offensive, be warned: vulgar terms crop up often.” If the quotations are any indication of the balance of the book, I side with the diver who initially called Treasurer out, “If you keep talking down to us,” the diver told Treasurer, “I’ll walk.”  The terminology cited in the summary is agitating; the words of an amateur. Cambridge academicians would be appalled.
